JERICHO, March 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Wednesday evening stormed the Halq er-Rummana Bedouin community, northwest of the city of Jericho, according to a local official.
Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that a number of colonists broke into the community and raided homes belonging to the Al-Mahalees family during the Iftar, the evening meal when Muslims break their daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
He further noted that community residents had relocated their livestock from the area two months earlier as a precautionary measure to safeguard them against theft by colonists.
