QALQILYA, March 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened the military measures around the Qalqilya governorate on Wednesday.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the eastern entrance to Qalqilya city with an iron gate, after having opened it for an hour and a half at 9:00 AM, as part of a schedule that allows the entrance to be opened three times a day. This closure has obstructed the movement of residents.
For the fifth consecutive day, the occupation forces continue to close the entrances to the villages of Nabi Elias, Kafr Laqif, Amatin, Al-Funduq, and Hajja, east of Qalqilya, with iron gates, preventing the movement of residents.
Under these measures, residents are forced to take alternative routes to reach their workplaces, enduring the hardship of the journey and increased travel time.
