RAMALLAH, March 3, 2026 (WAFA) – The Director General of the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), Fayrouz Mubaidin, congratulated Minister Ahmad Assaf, General Supervisor of Official Media, and the entire Palestinian media team on WAFA’s winning of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation News Agencies Union (UNA) Award for Media Professionalism.
The Director General of Petra said that this recognition reflects the distinguished status of Palestinian media, its professional and national role in conveying the truth, defending just causes, and promoting media values based on objectivity and responsibility.
She added that it also embodies Minister Assaf’s dedicated efforts to advance the official media system and consolidate standards of professionalism and credibility in media work.
Petra’s Director General expressed pride in the ongoing media cooperation between Petra and WAFA, emphasizing her commitment to further strengthening this professional partnership to advance their shared media mission and amplify the Palestinian voice in regional and international forums.
