BEIRUT, March 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon rose to 52 with 154 injuries, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Israeli fighter jets targeted a residential apartment in the al-Janah area in Beirut's southern suburbs, killing several civilians and injuring others.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Said announced the opening of 171 shelters across Lebanon, currently accommodating around 29,000 displaced people.
Israeli fighter jets conducted a wide wave of airstrikes targeting Al-Biqa and the southern suburb of Beirut, destroying dozens of buildings.
