Occupation forces continue closure of Jabara and Anab checkpoints in Tulkarm

TULKARM, March 2, 2026 – Israeli occupation forces continued on Monday the closure of the gates at the Jabara Bridge checkpoint, located at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm, and the Anab checkpoint to its east, for the third consecutive day, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that the occupation forces barred vehicles and residents from passing through the two checkpoints, effectively isolating the city from several surrounding villages and towns, particularly those to the south, as well as from the rest of the West Bank governorates.

The continued closure has disrupted the movement of residents and compounded the daily hardships faced by those who rely on the two checkpoints to access work, education, and essential services.
