BETHLEHEM, February 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian residents suffocated by tear gas fired by Israeli forces on Saturday during an Israeli military raid on the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
Sources reported that Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters during military raids on several areas in the town, targeting residents near the entrance of Aqabat Hasna area, causing several cases of suffocation that were treated on site.
Israeli forces were also deployed across several areas of the town; however, no detentions were reported.
Earlier today, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar and deployed in several neighborhoods.
