RAMALLAH, February 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Israel launched a wide-scale airstrikes targeting the Iranian capital, Tehran, hitting ministries, headquarters, and several areas, causing fire to break out in the targeted locations.

In response, Iran launched a large volley of missiles toward Israel.  Massive explosions were heard shortly afterward in Jerusalem, following the sounding of sirens, after the Israeli army announced it had detected a missile barrage launched from Iran.

According to Israeli media, the latest Iranian airstrike targeted the Ramat David, Hatzerim, and Nevatim military bases.
