Colonists continue attacks on Palestinian residents in Hebron-area town

HEBRON, February 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists continued their attacks on Palestinian residents on Friday evening east of the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, and attempted to steal sheep in the Far‘a area east of the town, according to a local source.

Mohammad Al-Azzazmeh, a local resident, stated that a group of colonists who had seized land in the area and established an illegal outpost attempted to steal 150 sheep belonging to resident Mithqal Abu Hmeid, but were confronted by local residents.

He added that the colonists are seeking, through various means and the use of force, to forcibly displace Palestinian residents from the area and drive them to relocate elsewhere.

For the past two years, colonists have prevented residents from accessing and cultivating their land and have taken control of Ein Far‘a, the area’s only water source.

Colonists have also paved several roads linking hilltops in preparation for further land seizures and the expansion of new colonial settlement outposts, in addition to carrying out ongoing assaults on residents and farmers, who have been subjected to harassment, detentions, and the confiscation of their vehicles and agricultural tractors.

Colonists also seized the shrine of Prophet Saleh, located south of the town, raised the Israeli flag on its roof, and barred residents from accessing it.
