Israeli colonists attack vehicles near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, February 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Thursday attacked Palestinian-licensed vehicles at the Marj Sia' area, west of al-Mughayyir village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that colonists descended upon the area and attacked Palestinian-registered vehicles, resulting in significant damage.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance of the village, stopped Palestinian-licensed vehicles, and inspected passengers’ ID cards before sealing off the entrance.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
