RAMALLAH, February 26, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian woman was injured on Thursday after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while Israeli forces detained a young man from the same area.

Activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA correspondent that a group of armed colonists attacked residents in Khirbet al-Tibyan in Masafer Yatta, releasing their livestock into the residents' fields and around their homes.

Colonists reportedly assaulted the residents, leaving a woman from the Abu Ubaid family with bruises, who received on-site medical treatment, before Israeli forces stormed the area and detained the young man, Luay Abu Obeid.
