GAZA, February 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli bombardment on Wednesday evening killed two Palestinian civilians and injured others to the east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital.
It confirmed that the bodies of two slain Palestinians and several casualties arrived at the hospital following Israeli bombing that targeted a group of civilians in the Abu al-Ajin area, east of the city.
Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect at noon on 10 October 2025, the occupation forces have killed 618 Palestinians and injured 1,663 others. The bodies of 726 Palestinians have been retrieved over the same period.
Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 72,082 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 171,761 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
