Colonists storm Palestinian-owned community near Qalqilya

QALQILYA, February 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists stormed Palestinian-owned land in the Arab al-Khouli community, east of Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilya, on Wednesday.

Kafr Thulth Mayor Jihad Odeh told WAFA that colonists, accompanied by their livestock, stormed the community and issued direct threats against the ten residents, demanding they leave their land. They also forced Kayed Khouli to leave his home at gunpoint to allow the colonists to graze their livestock on the land.

Odeh explained that this was not the first such incident, as settlers had attacked the community last week, vandalizing their property. He indicated that these attacks are part of the colonists' attempts to seize the area and force the residents to evacuate their land.

The Arab al-Khouli community consists of about 10 citizens in an area known as Khirbet Ayoun Kafr Qara, which is surrounded by eight colonies: from the north, "Ma'ale Shomron" and "Shavei Menachem", from the east, "El Matan" and "Ganat Shomron", and from the south, "Novim", "Yekir", "Immanuel" and "Karnei Shomron", while their only outlet is from the west, leading to the town of Kafr Thulth.
