Occupation authorities hand Jerusalemite woman six-month ban from Al-Aqsa, detain two youths from its courtyards

JERUSALEM, February 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday handed a Jerusalemite woman a six-month ban from Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Local sources said the decision was issued after she was summoned and interrogated, as part of the ongoing policy of bans imposed by Israeli occupation authorities against Jerusalemites, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

In the same context, the occupation forces detained two young men from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and took them to a detention and interrogation center in occupied Jerusalem during the Taraweeh prayer of Ramadan.

Israeli occupation authorities have been escalating measures against worshippers and those stationed at Al-Aqsa Mosque through detentions, bans, and restrictions on entry, in an attempt to impose a new reality in its vicinity.
