TULKARM, February 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday night raided the Iktaba suburb east of Tulkarm with a number of military vehicles and infantry units, patrolling its streets and establishing a wide presence in several neighborhoods.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces set up flying checkpoints around Iktaba Roundabout, stopped passing vehicles and checked passengers’ identities, causing disruptions to movement.

Israeli forces also deployed in the center of the suburb, particularly near schools and the olive press, conducting searches and sweeps operations, with no detentions reported.

Meanwhile, the city of Tulkarm and its camps, Tulkarm and Nur Shams, have experienced intensified Israeli military activity under a strict siege, including frequent live gunfire and stun grenades, particularly at night, as the Israeli aggression continues for the 392nd consecutive day.
