BETHLEHEM, February 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces, Sunday, issued an order to demolish a Palestinian-owned house in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, citing lack of an Israeli-issued permit as a pretext, according to a local official.

Ahmad Salah, head of al-Khader Village Council, told WAFA that an Israeli court issued a demolition order for the two-storey villa-style home of local resident Shadi Isa Skeiba, located in the Ard al-Deir area west of the town, following the rejection of a previous appeal to halt the demolition.

Salah further stated that the lawyer notified the homeowner of the court’s ruling, adding that Skeiba already began clearing the house in anticipation of its demolition.

Israeli forces have recently escalated attacks in the Ard al-Deir area, demolishing several houses and agricultural structures and issuing stop-work orders for a number of other buildings in the area.
