BETHLEHEM, February 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday evening raided the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, and deployed in several of its neighborhoods, according to a local official.
Director of the Tuqu’ Village Council, Taysir Abu Mufreh, told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town and positioned themselves near the municipal building at its western entrance and at Khalil al-Wazir Square in the town center, while conducting foot patrols throughout the area.
Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs during the raid; however, no injuries were reported.
