JORDAN VALLEY, February 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Sunday forced Palestinian shepherds to leave grazing lands in Khirbet Samra area in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The northern Jordan Valley has witnessed a significant escalation in colonist attacks, with recent incidents forcing around 20 families to leave the communities of Al-Burj and Al-Miyteh in the past days. These actions are part of a broader strategy aimed at pressuring Palestinians to abandon their homes and lands and relocate outside the region.

Harassment of shepherds by colonists in the Jordan Valley has been ongoing for years, including attacks on livestock, intimidation during grazing, and restrictions on access to pasturelands. These measures often coincide with expansion of nearby settlements and military zones, creating a continuous environment of insecurity that undermines Palestinian presence in the region.
