QALQILYA, February 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained eight Palestinians, including three children, during a predawn raid on Sunday in the city of Qalqilya and the nearby town of Azzun, in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed Qalqilya from its eastern entrance, raided and searched several homes, and ransacked their contents before detaining Aboud Nawfal, Amir Khader, Adham Oweinat, Amr Helal, and Mazen Abu Al-Sheikh.

The same sources added that Israeli forces also stormed Azzun, where they raided the home of Ahmad Rashad Salim, a local Palestinian citizen, and detained his three children—Yahya, Yaqoub, and Rashad—after severely assaulting him before releasing him while keeping his children in detention.
