Armed colonists attack outskirts of village near Nablus

NABLUS, February 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Armed Israeli colonists on Friday evening attacked the outskirts of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that armed colonists attacked several Palestinian homes on the outskirts of the village, firing live ammunition.

They added that the assailants broke into Jabal Taruja (Taruja Mount) and Wadi Abwein, west of the village, rampaging through the area.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
