Israeli forces demolish residential building in Hebron

HEBRON, February 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished an inhabited residential building in Hebron on Wednesday.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces stormed the Al-Harayeq area, adjacent to the Hagai settlement built on Palestinian land south of Hebron, and demolished a residential building belonging to the Salhab family using bulldozers.

Mohammed Salhab told WAFA that Israeli troops forced them to evacuate their homes in a two-building complex. The first building, a three-story structure, contained six apartments, while the second, a two-story structure, contained four apartments. The building, which housed more than 40 people, belonged to him and his brothers.

He emphasized that the demolition was carried out despite their possession of all the necessary legal documents, including a land registry document, proving their ownership of the land, and despite their having filed an appeal with the Israeli court against the demolition orders.
