NABLUS, February 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces began demolishing a house in the Upper Ta’awon area of Nablus on Tuesday.
Yasser al-Saber told WAFA that occupation forces, accompanied by two military bulldozers, stormed the area and began demolishing his two-story house, each floor measuring 190 square meters, under the pretext of building in Area C.
Al-Saber added that his family and his son’s family lived in the house and were forced to evacuate three weeks ago after receiving a demolition order from an Israeli court. He emphasized that the occupation claims the house is located in Area C, but maps obtained by the families show that all the houses are located in Area B.
He noted that since building the house seven years ago, he had been appealing the demolition orders in Israeli courts without success. He explained that his losses have exceeded 250,000 Jordanian dinars, and he was forced to rent a house for his family and his son’s family after being evicted. It is worth noting that the occupation forces demolished approximately 14 inhabited homes in the Upper Cooperation area during the past two years.
