Israeli forces continue raid on Salfit, deploy throughout neighborhoods and streets

SALFIT, February 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued raiding into the city of Salfit on Tuesday, deploying throughout its neighborhoods and streets amidst heightened military measures.

Local sources told WAFA that occupation forces raided several homes, searching them and damaging their contents. They also converted some homes into military outposts and detained a number of residents for several hours, subjecting them to field interrogations.

The same sources added that several young men sustained bruises as a result of assaults by occupation soldiers. This coincided with the erection of military checkpoints in several neighborhoods of the city and the firing of stun grenades.

The sources indicated that occupation forces closed all entrances to Salfit with earth mounds, as part of their intensified military measures that have been ongoing since Monday evening. These measures included closing the Iskaka Bridge, east of Salfit, the Wadi al-Shaer road, southeast of the city, the Khirbet Qais road, south of the city, and the Hospital-Farkha road, west of Salfit.
