JERUSALEM, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities issued a notice ordering the removal of hundreds of trees in the town of Sur Baher, south of occupied Jerusalem, claiming they are located within the so-called ‘buffer zone’ adjacent to the separation wall.
Eyewitnesses and local sources reported that the notice targets agricultural lands owned by residents of the town and includes the uprooting of hundreds of fruit-bearing trees, a move that threatens the livelihoods of several families and causes extensive environmental and agricultural damage in the area.
