Israeli colonists attack Palestinian vehicles near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked Palestinian-licensed vehicles at the entrance of al-Mughayyir village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to a local source.

Head of the Village Council, Amin Abu-Alia, said that colonists hurled stones at Palestinian-registered vehicles at the village's western entrance, resulting in material damage.

The occupation authorities have been closing the village’s eastern entrance, and ever since, the western entrance has become the sole access route for the villagers and a frequent target for colonist attacks.

Meanwhile, colonists, protected by Israeli forces, set their sheep to graze on Palestinian farmers’ land in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
