RAMALLAH, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Detainees' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) stated on Monday that the Israeli occupation authorities issued and renewed administrative detention orders against 41 detainees.
In a joint statement, they explained that the occupation continues to escalate its use of administrative detention under the pretext of a "secret file." They noted that the number of administrative detainees constitutes the highest percentage compared to the number of prisoners held in pretrial detention, those convicted, and those classified as "unlawful combatants," a number that has witnessed an unprecedented increase since the beginning of the war of extermination.
