Doctors Without Borders says Gaza is without supplies since early 2026

GENEVA, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced on Monday that it has been unable to deliver any aid or humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year due to Israeli restrictions, despite the ceasefire agreement in place.

MSF Secretary General Christopher Lockerbie stated in a press release that the “catastrophic” humanitarian situation continues in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

He pointed out that the humanitarian needs are “enormous,” and what is required is not a reduction in the humanitarian response but a significant increase. He noted that winter conditions have exacerbated chronic health problems among Palestinians in Gaza.

Lockerbie also stressed the rise in infectious diseases at a time when more than 18,000 people, including 4,000 children, are awaiting medical evacuation.

He added that winter conditions have worsened with the deteriorating shelter situation in Gaza, explaining that this situation is further deteriorating the catastrophic health situation throughout the Strip.

Lockerbie continued, "Despite the ceasefire agreement, people are still being killed in Gaza, while the aim of the agreement was to bring in more humanitarian aid."
