Colonists bulldoze land near the Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, February 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists began bulldozing Palestinian-owned land in Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley on Monday.

The head of the al-Maleh and Bedouin encampments village council, Mahdi Daraghmeh, said that the colonists began bulldozing the land without any known reason.

Yesterday, colonists began fencing off hundreds of dunams in the same area, as part of a policy of silent annexation of the eastern strip of the Tubas Governorate, which forced six Palestinian families to leave the area a year ago.

Large areas in the northern Jordan Valley are witnessing a significant escalation in settler attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property.
