JERUSALEM, February 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained journalist Nisreen Salem on Sunday evening in occupied East Jerusalem while she was performing her professional duties covering events in the city.
Salem works as a field reporter and has previously been threatened and harassed while covering raids and detentions. This incident reflects the ongoing Israeli policy of restricting press freedom in the city.
