Colonists fence off Palestinian land in near the Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, February 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists began fencing off approximately 1,500 dunams of land in the Khirbet Samra area of the northern Jordan Valley on Sunday, according to Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the al-Maleh village council.

Daraghmeh explained that the targeted land was legally owned (registered in the land registry) and was previously inhabited by six Palestinian families from the al-Masa'id clan, who were forced to leave a year ago due to ongoing colonists' attacks.

WAFA correspondent noted that this move is part of a series of actions by colonists to fence off hundreds of thousands of dunams of agricultural and grazing land in the northern Jordan Valley in recent months, directly impacting the lives and livelihoods of Palestinian farmers.

The agricultural sector in the northern Jordan Valley is witnessing an escalation in colonists attacks, exacerbating the economic and social suffering of residents and landowners.
