Several Palestinians suffocate from tear gas during Israeli raid on Hebron-area town

HEBRON, February 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians suffocated from tear gas fired by Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday night during a military incursion into the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, according to a local activist.

Media activist Mohammad Awad said that Israeli forces detained a 14-year-old minor after storming his grandfather’s home and assaulting residents inside.

Several residents also suffered from tear gas suffocation after Israeli forces fired tear canisters at people and vehicles in the town.

Israeli soldiers also forced shop owners to close their businesses.
