JERUSALEM, February 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces closed the Qalandia military checkpoint north of occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday night.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the checkpoint was closed in both directions, preventing residents from passing through.
The Israeli occupation has intensified its military measures in the West Bank, erecting checkpoints and installing iron gates at the entrances of Palestinian towns and cities.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and iron gates set up by the occupation across the West Bank has reached 898. This includes 18 gates installed since the beginning of 2025 and 146 gates erected after October 7, 2023.
