TEL AVIV, February 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the deportation of two Palestinian prisoners to the Gaza Strip and the revocation of their residency. The decision targets a released prisoner and another who is still serving his sentence.
Netanyahu said he had authorized the revocation of residency for the released prisoner and for another who remains incarcerated in Israeli prisons, ordering their deportation and warning that similar measures would be taken against many others.
This marks the first time the Israeli government has implemented such a measure, three years after the Knesset approved legislation permitting the revocation of citizenship and the deportation of Palestinian prisoners on the grounds that they receive financial allowances from the Palestinian National Authority.
