Israeli forces order removal of electricity network west of Hebron

HEBRON, February 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli  forces notified residents on Tuesday of their intention to remove the electricity network in the western area of Idhna, west of Hebron.

Idhna Mayor Jaber Tmaizi said that Israeli troops delivered a notice ordering the removal of a two-kilometer-long electricity network supplying the Bir Al-Balouta area, west of the town.

Tmaizi affirmed that this notice is part of the occupation's ongoing efforts to tighten its grip on the town's residents and its continuous attempts to displace them from the area near the separation wall, preventing them from farming and building in areas threatened with confiscation.

The town of Idhna has been subjected to harassment of farmers along the wall, the latest of which was when two residents were wounded by live fire. This is in addition to the confiscation of more Palestinian land in the eastern part of the town for settlement expansion, connecting the newly established settlement to the Adora settlement, aimed at creating a contiguous settlement bloc south of Hebron.
