HEBRON, February 9, 2026 (WAFA) – A young Palestinian man was injured with wounds and bruises, others suffered tear gas suffocation, and two brothers were detained on Monday in the city of Hebron and the Masafer Yatta area, south of the West Bank.
WAFA correspondent reported that heavily armed Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Shalala Street in central Hebron and brutally assaulted a young man inside his commercial shop, causing him injuries and bruises. He was subsequently transferred to hospital for treatment.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamereh told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed a community in Masafer Yatta and fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at residents and their homes, resulting in a number of suffocation cases.
Israeli forces also detained local resident Ahmad Ismail al-Adra and his brother Saber after colonists from the nearby illegal colonial outposts of Iskar Man and Shimon assaulted them with batons and attempted to steal their livestock.
