GAZA, February 9, 2026 (WAFA) – The Rafah border crossing in southern Gaza reopened on Monday to allow the departure of patients and humanitarian cases, and the return of Palestinians stranded on the Egyptian side.
According to WAFA correspondent, the sixth batch of patients and humanitarian cases departed through the crossing after being prepared at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in the presence of representatives from the World Health Organization, to receive treatment in hospitals outside the Gaza Strip.
Since its reopening last week, the Rafah crossing has seen the departure of more than 189 patients and their companions, and the return of more than 88 Palestinians who had been stranded.
