Palestinian man wounded by Israeli gunfire in southern Gaza Strip

GAZA, February 9, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was wounded by Israeli gunfire on Monday in the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that a fisherman was injured when an Israeli drone opened fire at him along the Rafah shoreline.

The Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through demolition operations, air and artillery shelling, and gunfire from naval vessels targeting different areas across the Strip.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, more than 2,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded as a result of more than 1,500 violations of the agreement committed by Israel.
