JERUSALEM, February 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained Monday morning dozens of Palestinian workers in the vicinity of occupied Jerusalem.
According to local sources, more than 40 workers from the West Bank were detained at the Al-Za’ayem checkpoint east of Jerusalem.
Since the onset of the aggression against Gaza in October 2023, Israel has refused to grant Palestinian workers permits to work in the 1948 territories, arresting thousands of them. Several workers have also been killed or injured near the separation wall.
