Colonists attack house in Turmus Ayya north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, February 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked a house in the town of Turmus Ayya north of Ramallah on Sunday, according to local sources.

The sources reported that colonists from the Shilo settlement, established on the town’s lands, attacked the home of the Abu Awwad family, with no injuries or property damage reported.

The attacks on the family’s house have continued recently, aiming to impose a forced isolation on them.

Israeli forces have been leveling lands, plowing thousands of dunams, and uprooting more than 4,000 olive trees around the Abu Awwad family home over the past three months to expand a nearby settlement outpost west of the town.

Colonist attacks on Palestinian communities in the West Bank have escalated in recent years, including assaults on homes, schools, and farmland, often accompanied by property damage and intimidation. Human rights groups report that such violence is part of a broader campaign aimed at displacing Palestinian residents and consolidating settlement expansion in occupied territories.
