GAZA, February 8, 2026 (WAFA) — One Palestinian was killed and another seriously wounded on Sunday morning as a result of Israeli artillery shelling targeting the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, multiple areas of Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip have been subjected since early morning to Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire, with no confirmed reports of casualties so far.
Since the ceasefire that came into effect on October 11 last year, more than 2,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured as a result of over 1,500 violations of the agreement carried out by Israeli occupation forces.
