RAMALLAH, February 7, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Palestinian citizens were injured on Saturday evening during an attack by Israeli colonists between the village of Rammun and the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, according to local sources.
The head of the Rammun Village Council, Ibrahim Al-Khatib, told WAFA that armed colonists blocked the road connecting Rammun and Deir Dibwan and brutally assaulted two citizens. One sustained head injuries and was transferred to hospital for treatment, while the other suffered bruises.
He added that Israeli occupation forces stormed the village at the same time as the colonist attack, firing large quantities of stun grenades and tear gas, without any reported arrests or additional injuries.
Violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinians has sharply escalated across the occupied West Bank in recent years, including assaults on civilians, road blockages, arson attacks, and destruction of homes and farmland.
Such attacks frequently occur in the presence of Israeli forces or are followed by military raids on Palestinian communities, while perpetrators are rarely held accountable.
