Minor sustains injury from Israeli army fire near Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, February 6, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian minor on Friday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army fire in al-Eizariya town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

It said that Israeli special forces, driving a civilian vehicle, sneaked their way into the town and unleashed a barrage of fire towards a group of minors near the section of Israel’s apartheid wall, injuring a 15-year-old in the lower extremities.

The casualty, identified as an inhabitant of Abu Dis, was in a serious condition.

The occupation soldiers initially prevented inhabitants and medics from approaching the scene, leaving the casualty to bleed profusely, before eventually allowing his evacuation.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed that its medics provided first aid treatment to a minor who sustained a gunshot injury in the thigh and rushed him to a hospital.
