Israeli colonists assault Palestinians south of Nablus

NABLUS, February 6, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists assaulted several Palestinian civilians on Friday in the southern region of Nablus province, north of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The sources said that colonists attacked a number of citizens in the Wadi al-Haj Issa area, located between the town of Aqraba and the village of Jurish, physically assaulting them.

They added that colonists carried out a similar attack in the same area on Thursday, during which Palestinians were assaulted and sprayed with pepper gas.

Violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinians has escalated sharply across the occupied West Bank in recent years, including physical assaults, property destruction, arson attacks on homes and farmland, and intimidation of rural communities.

These attacks often occur in areas close to settlements and outposts and are frequently reported to take place in the presence of Israeli forces, who rarely intervene to stop the assaults or apprehend perpetrators.
