RAMALLAH, February 5, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Prisoner's  Soiciet (PPS) said that more than 9,300 Palestinians are currently held inside Israeli prisons as of the beginning of February 2026, according to data from prisoners' rights organizations and the Israeli Prison Service.

The detainees, the PPS added, include 56 female prisoners, two of whom are minors, and 350 children held in Megiddo and Ofer prisons.

The data showed that the number of administrative detainees, those held without a charge or trial,  reached 3,358, the highest percentage compared to convicted prisoners, those held in pretrial detention, and those classified by Israel as "unlawful combatants."

According to the statement, the number of those classified as "unlawful combatants" reached 1,249. This figure does not include all Gaza detainees held in Israeli military camps and classified under the same classification, and also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.
