GAZA, February 3, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian woman was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces and a child died of his wounds on Tuesday evening in the Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources.
WAFA correspondent reported that a woman was killed after being shot by Israeli forces near the al-Shawwa area in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
In a separate incident, a child identified as Mohammad Shehda Abu Hadayed succumbed to injuries he sustained days earlier during an Israeli bombardment of the al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 71,800 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 171,555 others injured.
