GAZA, February 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from Israel’s ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip has reached 71,800 Palestinians killed and 171,555 injured since the start of the assault in October 2023, medical sources reported on Monday.

Health authorities reported that in the past 24 hours, five people were killed, including two whose bodies were recovered, and four were injured. Several victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews are still unable to reach them.

Since the ceasefire entered into effect on 11 October 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks has risen to 526, with 1,447 injuries recorded, and 717 bodies recovered.
