RAMALLAH, February 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed the Atara military checkpoint north of Ramallah on Monday morning.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces closed the checkpoint in the early morning hours, causing disruption to the movement of Palestinian citizens.
It is worth noting that these forces routinely cl
ose military checkpoints at the entrances to villages and towns, especially in the early morning, hindering the movement of Palestinians.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and gates in the Palestinian territories has reached 916, including 243 gates erected after October 7, 2023.
