Weather: Drop in temperature, dusty and partially cloudy conditions

RAMALLAH, February 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said that weather today, Monday, will be dusty and partly cloudy, with a noticeable drop in temperatures, making it relatively cold, especially in the mountainous areas. Winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly. Sea waves will be moderately high.

During the evening and night, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and cold, especially in the mountainous areas. Scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in the late night hours over the northern and central regions. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, moderate to brisk. Sea waves will be moderately high.

The country will be affected by a low-pressure system tomorrow, Tuesday, bringing cloudy and cold to very cold weather. A significant drop in temperatures is expected, with rain showers expected across various regions, becoming heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be active, blowing from the west to southwest, with strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. Sea waves will be high.

On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with a rise in temperatures, though it will remain cold, especially in mountainous areas. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the northwest to southeast. Sea waves will be moderately high.

On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with a significant rise in temperatures, though it will remain relatively cold, especially in mountainous areas. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the southeast. Sea waves will be low.

The PMD warned on Tuesday, during the period when the country was affected by the low-pressure system, of the risk of flash floods and flooding in valleys and low-lying areas, of high wind speeds, of the risk of slippery roads, of reduced horizontal visibility, and of high sea waves.
