Israeli colonists destroy Palestinians’ crops near Nablus

NABLUS, January 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday destroyed Palestinians’ crops in Burqa village, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to an activist.

Dhyab Hajji said that colonists attacked al-Masudiyya plain, sabotaging Palestinian farmers’ crops and stealing fences.

He added that colonists had attacked a 13-million-Euro German Development Bank (KfW)-funded irrigation project in the same area, implemented in cooperation with the Nablus Municipality.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
