HEBRON, January 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Thursday detained a Palestinian following an attack by colonists and their attempt to steal sheep in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that a group of armed colonists attacked and physically assaulted shepherds and attempted to steal a flock of sheep belonging to Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta.
Israeli forces later raided the area and detained a local resident after briefly detaining and assaulting several others.
