GALILEE, January 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities on Thursday demolished two houses in the village of Al-Zarazir in the Galilee, in the 1948 territories, according to local sources.
Sources reported that the two houses belonging to the Jawamis family include one that is occupied and another that is still under construction.
The demolitions come amid a significant rise in home demolitions in Arab towns in the 1948 territories in recent years, as Israeli authorities intensify the enforcement of demolition orders under the pretext of unlicensed construction, while these towns continue to face systematic restrictions on planning and building, compounded by the lack of proper structural maps.
